IgE antibodies have been measured in sera from Japanese patients with atopic dermatitis.

Octopus vulgaris is a cephalopod mollusk of the family Octopodidae, an octopus with eight suckered arms and a round mouth. IgE antibodies have been measured in sera from Japanese patients with atopic dermatitis. Also measured in children with allergy. Sensitivity to octopus is also common in southern Europe. In a study using Pharmacia CAP System, octopus and squid showed a low degree of correlation with each other.
