Overview

Horsemint (Monarda punctata) is an herb that has a bitter taste and a smell similar to thyme. The leaves are sometimes used to make medicine.

People use horsemint for digestion problems, menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea), and many other purposes, but there is no good scientific evidence to support any use.
