Viburnum opulus is a flowering shrub. Many parts of the plant have been used as medicine.
Viburnum opulus is native to Europe and parts of Africa, Asia, and North America. In North America, the bark of the plant has traditionally been used to relieve cramps and is called cramp bark.
Viburnum opulus is used for muscle cramps, diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney stones, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.
