Diiodothyronine
OTHER NAME(S): 3,5 diiodothyronine, 3,5-L-diiodothyronine, 3,5-T2, T2, T-2, 3,3-diiodo-L-thyronine, u003Cndb:nameu003E3, 5-Diiodo L-Thyronineu003C/ndb:nameu003E, Diyodotironina
Overview
Diiodothyronine is a thyroid hormone. Small amounts are found naturally in the body.
Some research suggests that diiodothyronine might speed up metabolism and reduce fat storage, but it's not clear if these effects are significant.
People use diiodothyronine for obesity, high levels of cholesterol or other fats (lipids) in the blood (hyperlipidemia), and for muscle strength, but there is no good scientific evidence to support any use.
